MyAlumil is a custom-built B2B software ecosystem designed around ALUMIL’s operating model. The challenge
Made-to-order products. No margin for error.
Ordering made-to-order aluminium products does not follow a simple product-and-quantity journey. Every user selection (product code, colour, dimension or technical specification) unlocks new available options while simultaneously excluding combinations that are not technically or commercially valid.
The challenge was not simply to digitise the ordering process. It was to create a system that could prevent errors, adapt to the requirements of each market and continue to evolve alongside the company’s international network.
The platform had to evaluate complex and interdependent rules, including minimum order quantities by product code, colour and dimension, different product assortments, and restrictions based on customer, user role, market and commercial policy. At the same time, it had to recommend the appropriate complementary products for each aluminium profile and ensure that every final configuration resulted in a fully valid order.
The complexity extended beyond product configuration. The final product had to be transformed into correctly structured, ERP-ready data and transmitted almost in real time to the different ERP system used in each market.
Our approach
The software adapted to the business. Not the business to the software.
Rather than adapting ALUMIL’s operations to the limitations of an off-the-shelf platform, we designed and developed a custom software ecosystem around its actual processes, business rules and commercial structure.
We created a custom multisite architecture for a highly complex business. It operates on a shared technology engine while supporting different users, product assortments, commercial rules and ERP integrations for each market.
We developed a guided ordering environment that evaluates every user selection in real time. The rules engine presents only valid combinations, excludes incompatible options, checks minimum order quantities and generates the final configuration of the made-to-order product.
The platform communicates almost in real time with different ERP systems across markets, retrieving and transmitting the relevant data through multiple integrations. It also recommends compatible accessories and complementary products based on the aluminium profile and the configuration selected by the customer.
The system supports multiple ordering journeys, as each user role works differently and has distinct requirements. Users can place orders in several ways:
- through guided configurators and ordering widgets
- through the product menu or search
- by uploading a pre-mapped Excel file
- or by emailing a specially formatted attachment
In every case, the system recognises the data and automatically creates the order within the platform.
Its modular and scalable architecture allows the platform to evolve continuously, adding new markets, features, ordering methods and business rules without requiring the entire system to be redesigned.

The platform transformed a complex and error-prone process into a guided ordering experience. Every order is validated before submission, complies with the commercial and technical specifications of the relevant market, and is transmitted to the correct ERP system.
Its flexible architecture has enabled the platform to expand into new markets and capabilities, contributing to a 150% increase in users, a 27% increase in customers and a 30% increase in orders.
