The challenge
One retail network does not operate by a single set of rules.
Globalsat Romania needed to serve Vodafone’s retail network in Romania through one digital environment, while managing orders across an extensive portfolio of international technology brands. Behind that single network, however, were different store types, customer groups and user roles, each with distinct commercial relationships and operational requirements.
Vodafone-owned stores, franchise locations, third-party dealers, VIP customers, Vodafone employees and telesales agents required different levels of access to products, pricing, discounts, delivery addresses and platform functionality. A single B2B customer could also be connected to multiple companies and branches within the ERP, while agents needed to place orders on behalf of several different customers.
The complexity extended beyond product selection and checkout. Each order had to take into account current stock levels and pricing, customer credit information, daily order limits and quantity restrictions by customer and product. At the same time, the platform had to exchange data reliably with Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring that each account remained aligned with its actual commercial and financial status.
The network also required a structured way to manage returns, defective products, warranties, delivery issues and other after-sales requests. Customer service could no longer rely on fragmented emails, phone calls and unstructured communication. It had to become a secure and fully integrated part of the same digital experience.
Our approach
A connected B2B ecosystem designed around the network.
We designed and developed a custom B2B platform on Generation Next, connecting Globalsat with Vodafone’s retail network in Romania and bringing together ordering, commercial control, financial information and after-sales service.
The experience adapts dynamically to each user’s role and account. The platform identifies the store, company or branch represented by the user and determines which products, prices, discounts, delivery addresses and functions should be available. Telesales agents can also access multiple customer accounts under controlled permissions and place orders on their behalf.
Through its integration with Microsoft Dynamics, the platform synchronises product data, stock availability, pricing and customer information. Completed orders are transferred to the ERP, while order status updates flow back into the platform, giving users an up-to-date view directly within their account.
The same environment also includes the customer’s financial statement, available credit balance, daily order limits and purchasing restrictions by customer and product. These rules are applied at account level, ensuring that each transaction follows Globalsat’s actual commercial policies.
Digital return requests are also integrated into the platform, allowing products and reasons for return to be submitted in a structured format and their progress to be tracked through the connection with the ERP.
For customer service, we fully integrated Zoho Desk into the B2B portal. Different users are presented with different request categories and forms based on their role and needs. They can submit requests relating to returns, defective products, warranties, deliveries, pricing, barcodes and technical issues without leaving the platform.
Each ticket can include multiple products, serial numbers, quantities, notes and supporting files. Users can follow the complete communication history and respond directly through their account, while the service team continues to work within Zoho Desk. Secure access controls ensure that each customer can view only their own requests, while detailed logging supports reliability and traceability across the integration.
The result is not simply an online product catalogue. It is a unified operational environment connecting the network’s daily commercial, financial and customer service processes.
The results
One platform connecting the network from ordering to support.
The new B2B ecosystem brought Vodafone’s network ordering, access to Globalsat’s international technology portfolio, financial information and after-sales support into one shared environment.
Each user now receives an experience tailored to their role, account and commercial terms. Orders can be placed with greater speed and accuracy, commercial restrictions are applied consistently, and information remains connected to Microsoft Dynamics throughout the process.
After-sales requests have also moved from fragmented communication channels into a secure and structured workflow. Globalsat receives complete, standardised information for each case, while stores can monitor orders, returns and support requests through one point of access.
The platform’s modular architecture also provides a scalable foundation for future functionality and automation as the needs of Globalsat and the Vodafone retail network continue to evolve.
Every store operates under its own rules. The entire network operates as one.
